Vietbf.com - Tổng thống Philippines đă lên tiếng xin lỗi Tổng thống Mỹ Barack Obama v́ đă quá xúc phạm nặng nề một Tổng thống đứng đầu đất nước, nhưng đây lần đầu ông Rodrigo Duterte đưa ra lời xin lỗi hiếm có, v́ Tổng thống Philippines Duterte không phải là lần đầu tiên ‘vạ miệng’, nhưng không xin lỗi.

Tờ Los Angeles Times dẫn lời người phát ngôn Tổng thống Philippines cho hay, ông Duterte bày tỏ sự hối tiếc v́ những b́nh luận về ông Obama trước đó.

Theo người phát ngôn này, Tổng thống Duterte đă ‘có b́nh luận nặng lời’ khi trả lời câu hỏi của phóng viên, gây ra ‘cảm giác lo âu và căng thẳng’.

“Ông ấy bày tỏ sự hối tiếc, quan tâm và đồng cảm sâu sắc với ông Obama và quan hệ đối tác ngoại giao giữa Mỹ và đất nước (Philippines)” – kênh Channel NewsAsia dẫn lời người phát ngôn của Tổng thống Philippines.

Trước đó, khi b́nh luận về vấn đề nhân quyền, Tổng thống Duterte đă gọi Tổng thống Mỹ Obama là ‘đồ khốn’. Sự việc này đă dẫn tới việc ông Obama hủy cuộc gặp với ông Duterte ngay sau đó.

Đây không phải là lần đầu tiên Tổng thống Philippines Duterte ‘vạ miệng’. Nhưng lời xin lỗi này được cho là hiếm có.

Trong suốt quá tŕnh tranh cử, ông Duterte đă nhiều lần có những b́nh luận gây sốc, chẳng hạn như việc xúc phạm Giáo hoàng Francis khi người tới Philippines.

Giữa tháng Tám, ông Duterte cũng xúc phạm Đại sứ Mỹ tại Philippines là Philip Goldberg, nhưng không đưa ra lời xin lỗi nào.
