Tại Mỹ người ta theo 1 đảng phái nào đó đều là có lý do "cá nhân". Và khi họ thấy "mục đích" không đạt được như ý thì họ sẽ chuyển đổi đảng phái. Trump từng theo nhiều đảng phái khác nhau :
