iPhone sẽ được sản xuất tại Việt Nam để né thuế Trump. Theo giới thạo tin công nghệ, Foxconn, đối tác gia công các sản phẩm iPhone lớn nhất của Apple đang chuẩn bị xây dựng một nhà máy tại Việt Nam để hạn chế sự ảnh hưởng từ căng thẳng thương mại Mỹ - Trung.
Ngày 4/12, trang Reuters cho biết Tập đoàn Foxconn và Ủy ban Nhân dân thành phố Hà Nội đang thảo luận về việc xây dựng một cơ sở sản xuất iPhone tại Việt Nam.
Tuần trước, Tổng thống Mỹ đã phát biểu với Wall Street Journal rằng mức thuế quan mới sẽ áp lên tất cả các mặt hàng nhập khẩu từ Trung Quốc, trong đó có iPhone. Điều này sẽ khiến cho giá bán lẻ của mỗi sản phẩm tăng lên từ 10%. Và sẽ tăng lên 25% nếu như Mỹ-Trung không có sự đồng thuận.
Việc xây dựng nhà máy lắp ráp iPhone tại Việt Nam có thể giúp Foxconn tránh được thuế nhập khẩu này và giữ chân Apple không quay sang các nhà sản xuất khác để giảm chi phí.
Foxconn được thành lập vào năm 1974 tại Đài Loan. Tháng 3/2007, công ty bắt đầu xây dựng nhà xưởng tại Bắc Ninh, Bắc Giang, và một số tỉnh của Việt Nam. Các nhà máy tại Việt Nam hiện sản xuất những sản phẩm như tai nghe, thiết bị mạng, dây cáp kết nối.
Hiện nay, hầu hết iPhone được lắp ráp bởi hai công ty Foxconn hoặc Pegatron tại các nhà máy đặt ở Thâm Quyến và Thượng Hải, Trung Quốc.
Ngoài Foxconn thì hàng ngàn doanh nghiệp sản xuất của Trung Quốc đang tìm cách mua đất Việt Nam để lập nhà máy. Điều này khiến thị trường lao động và bất động sản Việt Nam đang tăng giá mạnh mẽ.
